Dimensions
Format of the item

The size after cutting is equal to the format given in the calculator (width, height), e.g. 148 x 210 mm.

Design format

The design must be increased by a bleed, i.e. 2 mm on each side, in relation to the size of the use. E.g. 152 x 214 mm. If any objects protrude beyond the design area, they should be cut off.

Attention!
Even if your work does not have bleed background, the project format must be preserved. Therefore, the project format should be limited by a rectangle with the dimensions of the project on the lowest layer, without an outline and fill, or (in the case of a raster file) properly crop the project so that it has the appropriate dimensions.

If cutting in any shape is selected, then on a separate page (keep the size of the file for printing), place a cut outline (blue line, hair thickness 0.1 mm). The cut plot must be placed in the same position (in relation to the design format).

ATTENTION! the cutting curve must be closed (Corel) and be single (it cannot be in the same place of several lines). The curve must be a stroke / outline (in Illustrator, align the stroke to the center) and have no fill.

Finishing markings

If the work is to be creased or perforated, markings of creases should be placed outside the bleed area. So we add 3mm to the standard bleed (2mm) and place the creasing lines there (dashed black lines 0.2mm thick).

Punch marks should be placed in a separate preview file.

Please do not put the rounded corners on the project (it is enough to describe this parameter in the comment to the order).

Bleed

The background of the work and all objects adjacent to the edge of use should be led to a slope beyond the edge of use. In this work, the bleed is always 2 mm on each side.

Hotstamping, white and varnish

For hotstamping, prepare a black mask for hotstamping areas as black with 100% saturation (C: 0 M: 0 Y: 0 K: 100).

It is recommended to export the file to PDF format and save it as a multi-page PDF always in the following order:

one-sided printing and one-sided hotstamping: awers_druk, obverse_zloto
two-sided printing and two-sided hotstamping: obverse_druk, rewers_druk, obverse_zloto, reverse_zloto
two-sided printing and one-sided hot stamping: obverse_druk, rewers_druk, obverse_zloto

Recommendations and restrictions for hotstamping:

Hot Stamping should be designed as vector graphics.
Hot Stamping can be designed on a bleed.
The minimum thickness of the element is 0.2mm
The minimum size of the basic font is 9 points
We recommend a minimum spacing of 0.75mm between characters
The print fit tolerance for hot stamping is + -1mm, we recommend designing the gilding in such a way that it does not depend on the CMYK print.

Printing with white and varnish is designed on the same principle, only there are no restrictions as for hotstamping.

Graphics
Color model

The work should be prepared in the CMYK model. If there are raster images (textures, photos) in the work, they should also be converted to CMYKa.

To obtain full, dark black, use 100% black without the addition of CMY components (ie C: 0 M: 0 Y: 0 K: 100) and save it as a vector graphic. In the case of using the so-called rich black (eg C: 50 M: 50 Y: 50 K: 100) discoloration may occur in one of the CMY components, and with very small fonts (or in counter) or objects, edge blur may occur.

Do not apply gradations to less than 5%.
Add noise to the gradation to avoid banding.

Optimal resolution

The optimal resolution for raster graphics and photos is 300dpi.

Arrangement of objects

Important objects (photos, graphics, texts) must not be located at a distance of less than 3 mm from the edge of the use format and the folding line (creases, folds).

When rotating the design by -90 degrees, check that the bitmaps rotate properly.

Put all texts on a separate (top) layer.

In the case of saving as a CDR, the work should be grouped and the fonts should be changed into curves.
The page format should be defined in the file in accordance with the above mentioned. project format and place the project centrally on the page.
In the case of saving a project without a background (white) as EPS, it should be limited with a frame with dimensions matching
from the above project format.

Due to the tolerance of the cut, there may be some shifts of the work relative to the edge of use. Therefore, we advise against placing all kinds of frames around the project, the eccentricity of which may be visible on the use. In this case, we recommend using a margin of min. 5mm from the cutting line.

Save to file
File formats

Preferred: PDF (PDF 1.3, Acrobat 4.0)
Accepted: TIFF, JPG (not recommended)

Remarks

If there is text in the work, remember that before saving the work, you should convert it into curves or attach fonts to the file (in PDF files).
Do not rasterize texts !!!

If the work contains more than one page, save all pages in one file. If the format you choose does not allow this, save two separate files with the names front and back. (project_awers.tiff, project_rewers.tiff)

When saving TIFF, save the file as one layer, with no additional alpha channels.

If you are sending more than one file, please pack the files in ZIP or RAR format.

For complex designs with multiple layers, overlapping graphics, shadows, transparencies, etc., flatten as much as possible to a single background image, keeping text, logos, lines, and other relevant design elements as vector images.

Pay special attention to converting all special effects (tonal transitions, shadows, lenses, etc.) into bitmaps when using CDR (Corel) files.

Additional information

It should be noted that there may be differences in colors in relation to printouts from inkjet printers and the image displayed on the monitor due to differences in printing technology and color presentation.

All files that we receive for printing are always checked and if they do not comply with our recommendations, we send them back for correction.

Preparing files in accordance with the above guidelines will allow you to get the best possible effect.
